“ This amazing place was a dream for me! Was traveling down from Essex on a working holiday I stayed in the campsite behind the loveliest pud ever I was looked after like family! Felt like I knew them for years! I can not stress how nice this place was, & (very clean) Also the shower was hot & brand new very modern plenty of room The place is easy to find the food & beer was terrific. I woke up to find the best views out of my windows fields for Miles it was lovely very much looking forward to coming back soon, if I didn't have to leave I would have stayed longer Thank you both very much for a wonderful time! 10 out of 10 xx ”
“ I stayed at the Trooper Inn for one night as I was on a weekend course in Petersfield. Chris, the manager, was very welcoming. My room was lovely - spotless, with everything I needed. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was great too. I had an early dinner in the pub which was warm and friendly and an excellent night’s sleep. ”

“ An excellent find... we will be back! Stayed with my daughter for a sunny Sat/Sun in March and never get around to reviews, but this one had to be done! Have recommended to friends and extended family. Lovely rural inn, excellent value, comfortable rooms, serving good food - that included a delicious vegan gnocchi dish (not the usual bog-standard burger and chips)for my daughter. Welcoming and helpful management and staff and friendly locals... and their dogs! Beautiful rural setting... we walked in the pretty much unchanged footsteps of the war poet, Edward Thomas, who was unsurprisingly so much inspired by the beautiful surroundings. Thank you for a wonderful stay. We could not have asked for more. ”
